The hustle and bustle of the holidays are over so it's time to get back to you. Why not take a day and treat yourself to a day of shopping to pick up a few gifts. Here are a couple of small treats that I'm going to pick up for myself and I think you might like them too.

Hanky Panky Thongs! I can never have enough, they're simply the best! If you're under the impression that a thong's a thong, than I dare you to try them out!

I'm definitely snagging this top! It looks amazing on, and it so different. It's a great top that will go from work to play.

And of course I will treat myself to a great necklace! Like this necklace, but we have a bunch to choose from. The Dogeared necklaces are a great every day piece and they look great layered!

Resolutions...

I rarely make New Year's Resolutions, but this year I've decided to change my ways. We will call them efforts, not resolutions, since I will have to make a conscious "effort" to make these alterations.

1) I will wear more heels! This seems small, but heels can change an entire look of an outfit...wearing heels makes your legs and butt look good too!

2) I will smile more. Smiling makes you feel good! There are studies that show when you smile even if you're upset it makes you feel better. Plus it brightens your whole face.

3) I will wear more accessories! I'm always rushing out of the house and forgetting to add some great jewelry to my outfit. When you incorporate the right accessories to your outfit it spices up your look.

Our favorite knit line brought back the good along with the new. The staple pieces got an update with yummy colors and the new styles are creating fabulous easy to wear bodies...which should be in everyone's wardrobe!!

Of course we had to show you the new fabulous color for the 3/4 surplus, it's such a must have basic. We just got in some great stuff from Hoss...yes it is a new line for us! This double breasted teal sweater jacket is a jewel. The cross cable basket knit adds amazing texture, so the piece stands alone. Sweater or jacket -it's all about how you want to wear it that day.
And this turtle neck! It is 100% merino wool, but it feels like cashmere! The color combo against the soft grey is simply wonderful. You can't go wrong with this piece...I can picture you now -- walking into work -- or, is that you -- strolling down the street in jeans.

I'm loving the new Susana Monaco items we just received. Of course they are in supplex material ...So low maintenance for those ladies who travel a lot- it's doesn't get better than this! As usual the fit is amazing and the cut flatters your waist line! Could it get any better? YES...from the neckline to the empire seam, down to the belt detail-she doesn't miss a beat with her designs. As if that weren't enough the dresses are in a great assortment of blues, which brings out the best from your lingering summer tan or embracing your new lighter fall complexion.

Loving Layers

With the cooler weather creeping up faster than I like, I've started to layer. Who doesn't love layering....layer over layer over layer! Besides keeping warm, it creates such cute looks-take a look. Take a simple shirt or one with ruffles and throw on the latest-obsession vest and top it with a blazer for the perfect look for 9-5. After work hours take the layers off to reveal the perfect top for dinner and drinks. For those newbies who don't do layers yet, just start off slow; Try a cami under a button-up, but leave the buttons open. Or try a light sleeveless top with a great pattern, then add a great simple cardigan, and top it with a great blazer or jacket. Have fun with this look but remember add layers not bulk.

If layering clothes is to much for you, try layering your jewelry.

Purple continues to be a must have color this year. Why is purple is such a great color? It's where the warm and cool colors meet so it looks good on all skin tones.
